hello again….(ggggggoooodddddddd) life is a mystery…..everyone must stand alone……oh hey…just wanted to pop on here real quick and let everyone know that we will be going out and about this spring, bout to post the dates.

can’t wait to see everybody!

HELLO GOOD WORLD….

Hello again,

We just got back from our fall tour thingy, and i believe a hearty “THANK YOU” is in order…although, it would have been nice to have said this to everyone personally on this trip, thats not entirely realistic, so here goes…

I found myself in several conversations on this trip where I would marvel at the amount of effort that goes into our shows. By promoters, artists, show-goers, space owners, and friends. The hours that are put in that sometimes never get acknowledged, and the heart and hope that people have for each other to just have fun, and enjoy a social and creative experience that still exists despite the an overwhelming barrage of mass-media-consumer-overpopulation-overload….its actually quite amazing, and  i would come out of those conversations, and shows, thinking to myself, “I am so grateful, to still have this, sharing something that has always given me a light in the dark…..friends and music.”

We’d like to thank everyone we came across on this trip, your very important to what we do. This is a small microcosm of counter-culture, that has sustained itself, over the years, no matter our level of involvement, and I am beginning to understand how symbiotic it is.

The best shows I’ve ever been apart of, have always had this feeling that the whole room was alive, even the walls would sometimes sweat as if they were a body with a fever. The people watching become the players, and the players leaving themselves to join the room, as weird as it sounds it’s quite spiritual, and for a brief second, I realize I am a part of a real church. Something that existed before i was born, and something that has always supported me, no matter how strange I felt in my body, no matter how drunk or dark I had it, I could always strap on a guitar and unravel myself with friends and support. This is freedom, to be given an avenue, over the years to create and support music that we need, and take a natural joy away from. Quite literally we would have nothing without the people who help us, everyone from kids who drove three hours in crappy weather to see us, to promoters that work so hard at creating a space for people, that feels like their own. You may not get the love you deserve sometimes, but you’ll always have it from us.

yr pal,

pygmy lush

we’re home….

hey all,
We made it home in one piece. I am currently listening to my neighbors go ape shit wild, with their mormon bro party! Crackling thru my walls. Watching lord of the rings in the dark, mixed with maniacal laughter..its..aaah..well..its home…not much different than a couple of weeks ago actually. Um cats.
All of our hard work, getting together with eric before recording, going up to salem, figuring out how to record fourteen songs in four days, blankly staring at the artwork for weeks, trying to keep brian and shelby up to date, fixing the van, setting up the tour with carla, aimee and desark, going over old songs with eric, our two bands crash coursing new songs right up till we left….it was time well spent…rewarding, face paced, full of laughs, sometimes stressful..and totally worth it..six weeks is a long time to leave home and its good to have something to come home to, (cats) but still it seems as though the party is else where (next door) and I just wanna keep going.
Alas, much needed rest is being taken advantage of little by little, and soon (if not already) our (my) faculties will be back about us…
We have a couple of shows in may, and a fest in july already booked and plan doing several weekends over the summer! I’ll post the new show dates up tomorrow(ish)….See you soon!

SPRING us TOUR DATES!

alright folksy, here is the….well you know….the dates, cities, venues as of yet, thank you guys (seriously, fun, but serious) for emailing us, and getting in touch…hopefully everyone got some sort of response, my ass has been going thru some shit, (heh, both metaphorical and literal.) my guitars were stolen, I’ve been having some strange back pain that’s taken on new levels of hurt…lost my keys AGAIN, due to in climate conditions, I’ve been forced to gorge myself till I feel like popping, because my brain thinks I am some kinda of strange night bear, that needs to store fat for the long wintry months ahead…fortunatly (for all of us) spring is on its way, and that means warmer weather, and probably the most exciting thing that has happened to me in years…THIS RECORD, AND THIS BAND, AND DESARK, AND THEIR RECORD…..omg. this tour might rank up there in the top three, and we havent even left yet… this tour is gonna put on a clinic….
